My wife and I wanted to buy a couple of homes in Chiangmai, one as an investment. I couldn’t possibly be more happy with the service and professionalism from start to finish. I gave them a price range that I wanted to stay in and they stayed exactly in those parameters. Tiew was our agent who spoke excellent English and was terrific, even showed us a couple of great places to eat ! 😁 Matt , Evan and the rest of the professional staff walked us through the process and paperwork seamlessly, and are always there for us on a moments call. One of the homes we bought needed renovations and Matt and Evan brought in professional vendors and contractors to do and oversee the project for us. I’ve worked construction for the better part of my life and I couldn’t be more impressed with the quality of work, from curtains to painting, electrical, demolition, tiling and cleaning. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. And the thing that has been most amazing to us is that after finding us a home, they are always available for the inevitable ongoing maintenance. Their guys come out and do a professional job that holds up to any western standards. And they clean up any mess left behind! This level of service is really unheard of in Thailand.

I’ve worked with Expat Homes twice now and both of my experiences were absolutely superlative. Evan, Matt, Tata, and the rest of the team are not only great people but they are consummate professionals who listen to your needs and do everything they can to serve you and your family in the best possible way. The Expat Homes team also intimately understands the kinds of preferences that foreigners have in terms of build quality, neighborhood, and aesthetics. These are not trivial things and if you’ve tried searching for homes yourself you’ll discover that it’s not always an easy or stress free process. Not only did Evan and his team help us find two lovely homes to date, their maintenance team led by Win has also been competent, punctual, and timely in helping sort various home fixes. I’m not in any way being incentivized to write this review, nor was I even asked. But I honestly can’t understand some of the negative reviews here. I’ve done my own home search in different price ranges and neighborhoods in Chiang Mai and it’s just a big headache with a lot of wasted time, low standards, and hit or miss integrity. Whereas dealing with Expat Homes I know that they’ll never compromise on these things, and never have. They even help negotiate and deal with the owners on your behalf which is incredibly helpful. Plus they know all of the different areas and neighborhoods inside and out, including many of the families who live there! I’m beyond grateful that Evan and Matt and the EH team are here contributing to the local business community, always acting from a place of character, and working extremely hard to help families like ours live their best lives here in beautiful Chiang Mai. 🙏

Expat Homes was recommended to us to help us find a house in Chiang Mai, and they certainly delivered! During our first contact with Matt, we mentioned one street where we would like to live and the type of house we were looking for. Two days later, we received a message that a house matching our criteria in the exact location was available and asked whether we were interested. In no time, Expat Homes brought us into contact with the owners, arranged a visit to check out the house, and helped us with all the paperwork.

After one year it was decided to let the company manage everything because our family lives in a different area. This makes administrative management quite difficult and very stressful.
Evan and Matt manage the house and take care of their tenants like they are their own. Sincerely pay attention to every detail. Solve immediate problems and help follow up with honest professionalism. that we ourselves can check whenever we want Make every problem that seems difficult become easy. Looking for a home to rent when we are not in the country is a lot- I can’t image what we would have done if we didn’t have expats homes. Matt and Pear were completely wonderful. Helpful. And they set you up really well. From the start of looking, down to lease, and move in, and they are still helping us with things. Very awesome real estate agent, enthusiastic and patient! He patiently answered all our questions, drove me to see the house according to our requirements, and found the house we wanted, which made it easy for us to settle in Chiang Mai. We had an issue with our drain under the kitchen sink. It was like someone who had clogged arteries in their heart. After many, many years of dumping grease and oil down the sink drain, it finally clogged and would not drain properly. Hence the issue we had with water backing up into our kitchen. Chatrii and Nui came to our rescue and with the skill of a surgeon, knew exactly where the problem was and they were able to fix it without having to do bypass surgery. Thank you guys for your professionalism and the way you handled our problem.
